- Over the next 5 years, the National Association of Manufacturers has pledged to train more than 1 million workers

- In June, technology areas posted the lowest jobless rates within all large metro areas
- The areas of Austin-Round Rock, Texas as well as San Francisco and San Jose metro areas in CA were the lowest with jobless rates of 2.7%
- New Orleans posted the highest unemployment rate at 5%
